How the Sureshine Partner Referral Program Works

This page explains the program in plain English. The full legal terms are in your signed Partner Agreement; this is the working summary.

Who this is for

Approved Sureshine partners — fabricators, interior designers, tile stores, builders, property managers, real estate agents, cleaners, and individuals who refer customers to Sureshine for stone-care services.

If you're not a partner yet, the program is invitation-only. Reach out to Sureshine directly if you'd like to be considered.

What you get

When a customer you've referred to Sureshine completes a job and pays in full, you earn a rebate. Rebates are calculated automatically and paid every Friday by check (or applied to your Banked Credit balance, if you've elected that option).

Your tier and what it means

Every partner is in one of three tiers — Tier 1, Tier 2, or Tier 3. Your tier determines your rebate rate.

Tier is performance-driven. It's set based on the working relationship we've built — referral volume, longevity, the consistency of the work you send, and the kinds of partnerships we've grown over time. It's not set by what industry you're in. Two partners in completely different lines of business can absolutely sit in the same tier — what matters is what you bring to the table.

Your signed Partner Agreement carries your specific starting tier and the rebate rate that applies to you. Rates can change with at least 30 days' written notice (Section 11.4 of your agreement); changes only apply to leads captured after the effective date. AntiEtch installations earn at a per-square-foot rate that scales with the size of the AntiEtch portion of the job — the full table is in your agreement.

How you move up

You're automatically promoted when you cross an objective volume threshold:

Promotion is based on performance, not on what kind of business sent the leads. Demotion never happens automatically. If you have a quiet quarter, your tier stays where it is.

Four ways your referral gets attributed

A customer's referral attaches to you via one of four paths. Strongest first.

  1. Customer Confirmation — your customer tells us, in the moment they fill out our lead form, that you sent them. They do this either by naming or selecting you in the optional referral field, or by arriving at our customer site through your dedicated link refer.sureshinecares.com/thanks/YOURCODE. This is the strongest signal in the program and it gives you a 12-month attribution window.
  2. Manual code entry — your customer types your code in the optional referral field. 90-day window.
  3. QR code scan — your customer scans one of your cards. 90-day window.
  4. Personalized URL — your customer clicks a link with your code embedded. 90-day window.

Your QR card lives at partners.sureshinecares.com/my-card/YOURCODE. If you need to find it, use the Your Card page.

If more than one signal is present on a single submission, the strongest signal wins. So if a customer arrives via somebody else's QR cookie but tells us you sent them, you get the attribution.

When you earn

Inside your attribution window, every estimate that reaches Sold status from this customer counts. Sold means the customer signed the estimate AND the work is going forward.

After the window closes, attribution ends. The customer becomes Sureshine's customer.

Two important carve-outs:

Three notifications, three milestones

You'll hear from us via SMS, email, or both — your choice at onboarding — at three points in every referral:

  1. Lead-In — minutes after the customer submits the form. We'll have made first contact within one business hour.
  2. Sold — when the customer signs and the work is going forward. We'll show you the dollar amount and the rebate that's pending.
  3. Completed and Paid — when the work is done and the invoice is paid in full. Your rebate is processed within 30 days.

If your customer arrived via Customer Confirmation, the Lead-In notification will include a confirmation badge — a flag that the customer formally named you on our form. That's the strongest possible attribution and worth taking note of.

How rebates are calculated

Default services pay your tier percentage of qualifying revenue. Qualifying revenue is the post-discount, pre-tax invoice subtotal — labor + materials + trip charges. Sales tax, customer tips, and warranty or reservice work are excluded.

AntiEtch is calculated per square foot at a tier-specific rate.

Two principles:

When you get paid

Friday is rebate day. Every Friday afternoon, we run the report, print checks for partners with $100 or more accumulated, and mail them out.

If your balance is under $100 in a given Friday run, we hold and apply forward to next week. The first Friday you cross the threshold, you get a check.

You can elect to bank rebates as Banked Credit instead of cashing them. Banked Credit applies to:

Credits don't expire.

When something doesn't look right

Email referrals@sureshinecares.com or use the Submit a Question form on this site. Acknowledged within one business day; resolved within five. Most disputes come down to attribution math — we'll walk through the calc with you and explain what we see.

Sureshine has final authority on attribution decisions, and we exercise it in good faith. The audit log of every decision lives in our internal Override Log.

What we ask of you

Three things, all in your signed agreement:

A practical tip

The single most effective thing you can do is make sure your customers say your name on our lead form. Customer Confirmation gives you the longest attribution window (12 months instead of 90 days) and overrides the active-customer rule. Tell your customers: "When they ask, mention me." That's it.
